Tito Guerrero, III
Class of 1970
Tito Guerrero, III holds a bachelor’s in Health Education and
Biology from Texas A&M, a master’s in Education from the University
of North Texas, and a doctorate with an emphasis on administration, planning
and social policy from Harvard. He has received fellowships from the National
Science Foundation, the Ford Foundation, Kellogg President National Leadership
and the Academic Leadership Academy. As President of the University of Southern
Colorado at Pueblo, he stemmed six consecutive years of enrollment decline,
and under his leadership, the university experienced consecutive fall enrollment
increases of nine percent and seven percent. He has served as president of
Stephen F. Austin University since 2001.
